The Loboc River Cruise

The Loboc River Cruise is one of Bohol's  major tourist destinations. Loboc is about 24 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City, and here, the winding river plays host to cruisers on board small bancas or floating restaurants.
A cruise along Loboc River starts at the Loboc Tourism Complex:

At the Loboc Tourism Complex, local musicians serenade the tourists with rondalla:

The Loboc Church can also be viewed from the complex:

The Loboc Church is dedicated to St. Peter the Apostle. Built in 1602, it is the second oldest church of Bohol. The church is located near the river and has survived a number of floods.

The floating restaurants offer Filipino cuisine buffet for P250 per head. Live acoustic entertainment is also on board.

During the cruise, we were treated to a vista of lush tropical vegetation such as nipa palms, coconut trees, banana groves, and bushes that adorned the Loboc River side.

We made two stops where choral groups gave musical entertainment along the riverside:

The cruise ends at Busay Falls, which is about four meters deep and twelve meters wide. It is a favorite swimming place of local folks. Here, the boat  tarry a little bit and allow us to appreciate the green scenery around.

And finally, we cruised back to the starting point:
