Saint Bernard Beach Resort (Bantayan Island, Cebu)

Haven't traveled to some interesting places lately so I decided to dig deep into my PC's hard drive to find some old pictures which I can post in this blog. I rediscovered old photos taken during our visit to Bantayan Island three years ago and decided to make separate posts for each of the wonderful places we explored in the beautiful island. My previous post on our entire Bantayan Island experience can be found HERE. For this post, I am sharing our stay at the Saint Bernard Beach Resort.

Saint Bernard Beach Resort is where we spent our first day in the paradise island of Bantayan. The resort is located in the town of Sta. Fe. From the port of Sta. Fe, we took a 5-minute tricylce ride (fare: 20 pesos each person) to the resort. The place, set along a small and sleepy fishing village is quiet and serene. Flowers adorned the area along with some beautiful birds in cages. The resort is small, with only 8 cottages available for accommodation (better make some reservation ahead if you are planning to stay here). The cottages are uniquely round-shaped and made up of stone with nipa roofing. Accommodation prices ranged from P750.00 to P1,800.00, depending on the cottage's size and location. The cottage we stayed is spacious enough for me and my wife, comfortable and well-maintained.

Saint Bernard has a cozy restaurant serving a variety of fresh seafoods as well as vegetable and meat dishes. There are some tables and chairs positioned outside the restaurant where you can dine in an open-air setting while staring at the beautiful white sand beach front and the neighboring islands of Hilantaga-an and Silion (also called Virgin Island). We had our lunch and dinner at this place and though I find the menu prices quite steep for my standard, the food is definitely delicious and worth the price. The resort staff are also friendly, courteous and always ready to serve their guests.

Tranquility and calm enveloped the resort at night. While having dinner, lights from fishing boats can be viewed from afar . After dinner, we just can't resist the inviting seawater so we took a dip for about an hour.
I reccommend Saint Bernard Beach Resort if you are looking for a nice and romantic place to stay in Bantayan Island. It is a place where you can spend your day and night away in a quiet and relaxing environment while enjoying the fresh breeze of the sea.

A nice setting for open-air dining.

If you own a timeshare and are looking to get out of it, look in to the services of a timeshare exit company such as Wesley Financial Group or Primo Management Group. The Wesley Financial Group reviews and Primo Management Group reviews around the Internet are very positive.
