Chali Beach Resort is an ideal place if you want to stay in a hotel with resort ambiance without having to go far away from Cagayan de Oro City proper. Since it is only a few meters away from the highway, it's accessibility is not really a problem even for customers who don't bring their own vehicles. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and it comes with free breakfast for two persons. The resort is also recommended for live-in/live-out seminars and reception for weddings, birthdays, etc.,  since it has a function hall that can accommodate up to 350 persons. The swimming pool is nice but is best suited for adult swimmers since only a small portion is shallow enough for kids to take a dip. Chali also has a free WIFI internet access so you can easily connect to the worldwide web.

On the downside, I would not recommend Chali Beach Resort for beach lovers since it has no sandy coastline. The rocky beachfront is slippery in some parts and there are plastic wrappers floating in the seawater. It does not have a kiddie pool so children should be accompanied by adults when swimming in the resort's lone pool. Food service is also slow so better order your food at least 30 minutes earlier. Food is also quite expensive and taste is not that exceptional (we love the fish sinigang and crispy whole fried chicken though).

Overall, Chali Beach Resort is a nice and comfortable place to stay where you can relax without going that far from the city. You can take a dip at the pool , relax on the hammock or simply enjoy viewing the beautiful sunset view over Macajalar Bay. Room rates are also affordable since they regularly give discounts on weekends.

  7. Do they have or they avail some vehicle that will fetch you from the airport? I like the place, but I haven't been to Cagayan de Oro. I might get lost.
