2010: My Year in Review

The things I did in 2010:

* Started this travel blog on January 2010. My first post was on January 4 and it was about Bohol Plaza where we stayed during our office outing..

* I previously named this blog Philippine Travel Blog. Later on I realized that the name is too bland and generic. After getting ideas from blogs of established travel bloggers, I decided to rename this to "Suroy Pilipinas", a Cebuano/Visayan term meaning "Travel Philippines".

* Visited the following places for the first time:
-Villa Arcadia Beach Resort in Talisayan, Misamis Oriental
-Dahilayan Adventure Park in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon (my first time to try ziplining!)
-The spectacular beaches of Mati, Davao Oriental

* Met Reader's Digest Asia Hero George "Jun" Plaza and the Amihan Skim and Surf Team in Dahican, Mati, Davao Oriental.

* Boarded a commercial airplane (Cagayan de Oro to Cebu flight) for the first time in four years.

*Watched Gin Blossoms Live in Cebu, my first time ever to watch a foreign rock band.

* Revisited the Magellan's Cross and Sto. NiƱo Church in Cebu.

* Bought my first DSLR out of my profits from Equity Fund investments.

* Started to take running a bit seriously and participated in my first race: The 34th National Milo Marathon in Cagayan de Oro City.

* Explored more of my home province Bukidnon and made a separate blog about it (Bukidnon Photo Journal).

Whew! 2010 was indeed a great year for me. It was a year of many firsts, of journeys and of discoveries. And with this blog turning one year old  this month, I wish for more roads to walk on, places to discover, images to capture and travel stories to share.

If you own a timeshare and are looking to get out of it, look in to the services of a timeshare exit company such as Wesley Financial Group or Primo Management Group. The Wesley Financial Group reviews and Primo Management Group reviews around the Internet are very positive.
