Review: Cagayan Park View Hotel, Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City

Photo from cdoguide.com
Cagayan Park View Hotel is located along Tirso Neri Street in Plaza Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City. I stayed in this budget hotel with my wife during the eve of Kagay-an Festival Run 2 last August. Its proximity to the Start and Finish line of the run was the reason why I chose to spend a night in this hotel.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room with a rate of P575.00. The airconditioned room has two single beds, private bathroom, a closet and a small (and old model) Cable TV. Our room has a large window facing the ampitheater where a flyover is being built.

The room is quite clean though not as clean as Blue Velvet, a budget hotel I once stayed in Davao City. The bathroom is small and there is no hot shower (I am not sure if there is one in other rooms though).

Being near Plaza Divisoria has its own advantages and disadvantages for this hotel. Everything is just within reach: public transportation, fastfood chain, convenience store, drug store, fruit stand, etc. However, if you're staying here on a weekend (like we did), the noise from Divisoria's night cafe can be a disturbance to your sleep. And it is an old hotel so the amenities are really just basic. But since the rates are affordable, Cagayan Park View Hotel still offers good value and (hopefully) a pleasant stay for your money.

  2. It's good to know that you were able to give a good review about Cagayan Park View Hotel. It's one of the enduring hotels in the city. Even until now, I still can hear its advertisement in the radio, a famous one because of its fine melody.

  9. Hi! I've been there at Park View Hotel in Cagayan De Oro City, I really like the place, but the personnels are not accommodating the visitors, especially the girl on the front desk, she keeps on playing at facebook. Is it permitted by the management of Park View Hotel?
