Anda, Bohol: A Review of Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort

Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort was where we stayed during our recent trip to Anda, Bohol. Anda de Boracay is located in Barangay Poblacion and in my observation, it is the most developed among the resorts situated near the beautiful Quinale Beach.

After running in Bohol Marathon 2015 in Tagbilaran City, Malou and I traveled to Anda to explore the beautiful coastal town. We stayed at Anda de Boracay for one night and here's our experience....

Anda de Boracay Standard Room Rates

We were able to avail their promo rates during our stay last August 30, 2015.

The Resort:

Anda de Boracay is located a few meters away from the public Quinale Beach. In fact, they share the same shoreline and therefore has the same fine, white sands. However, I observed that the beach in Quinale is much cleaner than the beach front of Anda de Boracay. Probably because it was a long weekend and there are plenty of guests in the resort. You may visit my previous post in this LINK to view photos of Quinale Beach.

Anda de Boracay maximized its land area by squeezing in 25 rooms on its main building and extension areas. They have air-conditioned and fan-cooled rooms with hot and cold shower.

They also have a swimming pool which is suitable for swimming in case you get tired of the beach. It has a small and shallow portion for kids but adult supervision is still needed since it is connected directly to the bigger and deeper pool.

Malou and I were able to swim and relax at this pool on the night of our stay.

Other facilities include the Ocean View Restaurant, Cafe Tacio, Massage & Spa Services, KTV Rooms, Laundry Service, 24-hour Standby Generator, 24-hour Security equipped with CCTV Camera and Laundry Service. They can also arrange local and countryside tours and can accommodate up to 200 people for conferences, weddings, seminars, debuts and other special occasions.

The Room:

We were booked in an air-conditioned Double Room with a promo rate of P1,700.00 (Standard Rate: P2,000.00) with free breakfast for two. Our room is located near the stairs of the main building.

Honestly, I found our room too small and cramped for its price. There are no windows, closets or hanger for our clothes and only has a little space to move around. The double bed is also a bit small but since we are not that choosy. we were able to sleep comfortably throughout the night. There is a small, flat screen TV which, for some unknown reasons, was placed at the side and not in front of the bed. Instead of the TV, it was the air conditioner which was installed on the wall fronting the bed. Wi-Fi and Cable TV signal were also spotty in our room.

The bathroom, though clean, is also very small and there are no hangers for towel and clothes. It is equipped with hot and cold shower.

Food

Anda de Boracay has its own Ocean View Restaurant overlooking the pool and the beach. However, we were not able to eat here since we took our dinner at the nearby Quinale Beach Bar. A quick glance at their menu revealed that food price ranges from Php100++ to Php200.00++.

However, we were able to avail of their free breakfast at the fourth floor of the main building. It was a pleasant surprise that the free breakfast is not consists of set meal but is actually a mini-buffet of chicken adobo, pork longganisa, raw vegetable salad, toasted bread with butter and instant coffee and juice.

My heavy breakfast is both delicious and filling.

Overall, I could say that we have a comfortable stay in Anda de Boracay White Sand Resort. I love its location which is close to the beautiful Quinale Beach and is also walking distance to town proper. We were also able to have a relaxing dip at their swimming pool. Though we were not able to eat at their restaurant, we found their free breakfast buffet both delicious and filling. However, I honestly thought that the room we had is overpriced for its size and amenities. They should either make it more spacious (by extending it to the adjacent unused space) or simply lower its rate.

How To Get There:

From Anda town proper, you may take a tricycle ride to Anda de Boracay. If you're in Quinale Beach, walk towards the western part of the beach. You will pass by Anda Global Beach, Little Miami Beach Resort and Anda Long Beach before reaching Anda de Boracay.
