Official Winners of the 2018 Kaamulan Festival Street Dancing Competition

The Province of Bukidnon successfully staged the 2018 edition of Kaamulan Festival highlighted by the grand Ethnic Street Dancing Competition and Ground Presentation last March 24, 2018 in the capital city of Malaybalay. The competition was participated by the municipalities of Don Carlos, Kibawe, Pangantucan, Quezon, Libona, Dangcagan, San Fernando, Kalilangan, Lantapan, Impasugong and the two cities of Valencia and Malaybalay.

Kaamulan came from the word "amul" which means "to gather". The festival gathers and celebrates the culture and traditions of the Seven Hill Tribes considered as the original inhabitants of the province. These are the Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Umayamnon, Matigsalog, Manobo and Tigwahonon.

The festival is held annually in the months of February and March. Because it is extensively participated by the tribal folks, it is hailed as the only Authentic Ethnic Festival in the Philippines.
